Is the app really free? Are there ads?
Yes, it is completely free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no sign-up.
How do I use it without the internet?
Open the surah list, tap ⋮ and choose Download the whole Quran for the text, and Download all surah audio for the recitation. The audio downloads in the background with progress on the notification; you can close the app meanwhile. You can also download single surahs with the arrow next to each one.
The recitation stops when I lock my phone.
Some phones close apps in the background to save battery. In Android Settings → Apps → Al-Quran → Battery, choose “Unrestricted” (or turn off battery optimisation for the app).
How do I change the reciter or the translation?
In the surah list, tap ⋮ → Audio Manager to choose a reciter, or ⋮ → Translation language for the translation. Text size is under the Aa button while reading.
How do I turn on “Ayah every hour”?
On the home screen, switch on the Ayah every hour card and allow notifications. Choose every 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours; “Quiet at night” keeps 10 PM – 6 AM silent.
My prayer times look wrong.
Open Prayer times, check your location (tap Change), then the settings ⚙ for the calculation method and Asr (Hanafi or Shafi'i) that your local mosque uses.
Does the app collect my data?
No. There is no account, no tracking and no ads. Your location (if you allow it) and all your settings stay on your phone. Read the full Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Everything is stored only on your phone. Go to Android Settings → Apps → Al-Quran → Storage → Clear storage, or simply uninstall the app — all its data, including downloaded audio, is removed. We keep no copy on any server.
I found a mistake in the text or a translation.
